Candlemaking Workshop ~ 15th November 2017

We had a great evening with Alyson from Hives and Herbals learning to make beeswax candles.

 Alyson told us lots of information about bees.  We were all glad we are not a drone - sounds like they have a painful and unpleasant death!

We were then told how to make rolled beeswax candles.

We started with a coloured sheet of beeswax.....

.....then laid the wick across the sheet, before rolling the sheet tightly.

Two-tone rolled candles were made with two triangles of beeswax.

Time to set to work.
